1885 Federal Census

Occasionally, states and territories conducted special censuses during interdecennial periods. One of these was the 1885 census. It was taken by the respective states and territories with funds partially provided by the federal government. For that reason, we are listing it here in our catalog.

The 1885 census enumerated Colorado, Florida, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota and
South Dakota.
